If you'd like to see your work appear on Flash Fiction Fever, be sure to follow these instructions.
We accept Flash Fiction of any length between 300 and 1000 words. Anything longer or shorter than the specified word count will automatically be rejected. We are not interested in explicit violence or sex, nor in profanity beyond a PG rating. We will accept Flash Fiction in pretty much any genre EXCEPT erotica, gay/lesbian, religious, children's. We LIKE: historical, romance, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, literary, suspense, mystery, humor, western.
The biggest thing we look for is solid writing. Be sure your writing is the best you can possibly produce -- spelling, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, etc are a big deal. We look for a story arc: A beginning, a middle, and an end. If you are sloppy, we'll notice. Trust us. Have someone with good English and writing skills read/critique your story before you submit it to us.
To submit a story, email it to flashfictionfever@aol.com under the subject FLASH FICTION SUBMISSION. Include the story in the body of the email -- DO NOT attach it as a separate file. If you wish, also include a sentence or two about yourself, including any links readers may follow to learn more about you.
We do not retain any rights to your work. Your story remains yours and yours alone to do with as you wish. Our only objective is to help writers gain exposure, not to take away their rights to their hard work.
